Location: Carrickmines, Dublin
Objective: To retrofit all outdoor street lighting and provide energy-efficient lighting for the existing outdoor car park.

In order to improve their energy efficiency and reduce their electricity bill, The Park Carrickmines decided to upgrade all of their outdoor lighting. In doing so, they will significantly reduce their energy usage and improve their carbon footprint!
The Client
The Park Carrickmines, is south Dublin’s premier retail destination
open 7 days a week servicing a broad number of neighbourhoods
in the area!
It is conveniently located just off the M50 and it has over 30 stores to choose from, ranging from homewares, sport, fashion and electronics! These stores attract thousands of people every week of the year, so it is important for The Park Carrickmines to have the right lighting solution in place for all its customers.
With ambitious plans in the pipeline to further grow Carrickmines Park as a neighbourhood shopping destination, having the right lighting solution across this large retail park is vitally important to keep improving their energy efficiency. These are the first steps in ensuring that the Park Carrickmines becomes the leading out of town retail destination in Dublin.
The Project
In conjunction with Mahony Energy Solutions & Kellihers Electrical Croke Park, LUG Lighting were chosen to help provide a leading-edge lighting solution to help improve security and nighttime visibility in the exterior car park at the Park Carrickmines.
The popular LUG Urbino was chosen as the ideal product for this
lighting upgrade due to its quality light output, minimum glare and
a modern, cutting edge design!
Through the relationship that our Kellihers branch has built with Mahony Energy Solutions, the project was delivered with the utmost professionalism and everything was completed to make sure a quality product and service was delivered to site.
LUG provided an excellent product that ensured the seamless installation of their energy-efficient Urbino product.
This lighting solution has provided some serious energy savings with over €8k saved per year with the installation of these fittings. Additionally, if they weren’t to implement this retrofit, it would continue to cost them over €700 per month! The LUG Urbino is, without doubt, a stylish yet, energy-saving product!
