[April 5, 2019](https://news.kellihers.com/news/case-study-energy-efficient-lighting-for-colaiste-chu-chulainn) **Client:** Colaiste Chu Chulainn School **Location**: Dundalk, County Louth **Objective**: New install of energy efficient LED lighting across a new school building from the classroom to the gymnasium in order to facilitate the highest standards the school sets for itself and its students --- ### The Client Coláiste Chú Chulainn is a new, dynamic and innovative, learner-centred post-primary school in Dundalk, Co. Louth. The school operates under the patronage of the Louth and Meath Education and Training Board (LMETB), a leader in educational change and the Patron of a wide range of schools, colleges and educational programmes across Louth and Meath. Their main vision is to provide a caring and nurturing environment and to challenge each and every student to become active and enthusiastic participants in their own learning. Their students, staff and parents form a learning empowered school that continuously strives to achieve the highest possible standards of education and personal development for all members of their school community. ### The Project Kellihers were tasked with providing an energy efficient lighting solution for this school project. This new school, as stated in their mission wants to achieve the highest possible standards of education and it was proposed that the LUG fittings used matched the high standards set by the school and its staff. These fittings will give the students a comfortable bright environment in which they can study and feel inspired.
